Valami Amerika 2, sequel to a Hungarian comedy from 2002, is filming today on Plymouth, near Jay Street. When Filming In Brooklyn stopped by this morning, the weather was not cooperating. But there were still interesting things to see.
Ever wonder how actors can drive around with cameras in their faces and not get into accidents? It’s because they’re not usually driving! For shots not showing the whole car, the car is often being towed by a truck, with cameras, lights, and microphones mounted around it.
The open parts of this convertible had been covered up while the last shower passed over the set.
Now that the sun was coming out again, the entire car had to be wiped down.
The camera and microphone were mounted, and things were looking hopeful. But then another shower rolled in. The convertible’s top was put up, and most crew members took refuge under tents.
Unfortunately, no filming took place while we were there. But the weather cleared up later, so hopefully they got the shots they needed.
