Brooklyn’s Finest was filming today in Prospect Heights Park Slope, in and around a gorgeous house on the corner of St. Johns Place and Sixth Eighth.
When we stopped by, Richard Gere was in the house, but we were not allowed inside and we couldn’t wait around. But he was in there!
And of course, there were the requisite trucks. Thanks to Filming In Brooklyn reader Gabby for this last pic!
Also, thanks to Filming In Brooklyn reader Joe for the heads up (and the subsequent location correction!).

I’m amused all out of proportion as I’m reminded, once again, that whenever someone wants to post an impressive picture of the trucks and equipment…they take a picture of the honey wagon. This truck’s prime reason for existence is…toilets.
Origins: A synonym for chamber pot used to be honey pot. In the early days of shooting Westerns out in the desert, they’d have a truck with some curtained off sections called the “honey truck”. Over time, they became what you photographed…a couple of spaces devoted to restroom facilities and 4-6 dressing rooms for lowly actors who don’t rate a trailer for themselves.

Another interesting tidbit, thanks Nathan!
Wouldn’t it be nice, especially in a city like New York with such a dearth of clean public restrooms, to have a honey wagon follow you around? Maybe a mini version, just driving behind you, ready whenever you need it?
