Everybody Doesn’t Care Enough About The Real World To Comment On It

August 24th, 2008 · 4 Comments

Or perhaps, “Nobody cares about The Real World enough to ignore it.”

The Real World: Brooklyn was spotted working out again, this time at a Crunch Gym in Fort Greene.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people will read a post about something they claim they don’t care about, and then click on the post to leave a comment stating that they don’t care about it. Which is exactly what happened on Curbed on Friday.

It reminds me of that old quote from Yogi Berra: “Nobody goes there no more, it’s too crowded.”

Just because they’re not apathetic about their not caring doesn’t mean you get to make fun of them!

you are totally right to make fun of them. you know those same people (me included) are counting the hours til they can watch the real world kids in brooklyn and make fun of them for being naive, insecure, overconfident, un-New York like, midwestern or for trying to0 hard to be hip. since we are all at least one of these things , watching the real world kids will make us feel better because we can all agree we’re better than them.

just wish i could afford cable…

I apply the same theory as to why I watch Supernanny, The People’s Court, Dr. Phil, etc.: it makes me feel soooo much better about myself.
