Prospect Heights was seeing stars today as Jason O’Mara, Michael Imperioli, and Harvey Keitel descended upon Dean Street to continue filming of the new ABC series Life on Mars, a remake of the BBC series. Filming In Brooklyn was able to see a sneak peak of Mars at the New York Television Festival, and we’ll be writing a bit more about that later in the week. Based on what we saw, we’re looking forward to its debut in October.
Filming In Brooklyn was lucky enough to spot all three of the series’ stars today, and we’d like to thank them for taking the time to have their pictures taken. We know it must get tiresome, and we want them to know that their fans really do appreciate it.
First we caught them rehearsing a scene outside of their “125th Precinct House” at the corner of Dean and Vanderbilt:
After lunch was called we were able to get a little closer. We were dying to ask Michael Imperioli if it’s a pain to keep up that fabulous hair for the show, but didn’t want to take up too much of his time on his way to lunch.

Keitel, known for such tough guy characters, is a very slight guy. The magic of the camera.
The lead’s wife was also on set. She was in Party of Five and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Paige Turco. Quite the cutie.
