Glenn Close and William Hurt were in Fort Greene Park yesterday shooting scenes for the acclaimed TV series Damages. They had been shooting earlier in the day on DeKalb Avenue next to the park, and when FIB caught up with them they were shooting near the monument.
Here are Glenn Close and William Hurt filming a walk-and-talk scene:
Here they are coming back to their starting points and waiting for “action”, along with some extras resetting to their starting points:
Taking a break while the lights and cameras were being set up to shoot from a different angle, Ms. Close had a sandwich and played with some dogs (hers? I have no idea), and Mr. Hurt relaxed and chatted, while I was, sadly, kept at a distance from one of my favorite actresses of all time. But I wouldn’t want to be bothered while eating a sandwich either.
This is at least the third time that Damages has filmed in the DeKalb/Fort Greene Park area in the past couple of months, and I hope they’ll be back again soon. I dream about getting to chat with Glenn Close for a few minutes, to pick her brain about her incredible career.

So good to see you back in action! I know you were crazy busy, & I really missed your reports. Glad you’re back.
Was it good?
btw, I don’t get the Bio channel, but I asked Maria to record it for me, so I could see your place as a ‘white trash’ apt.
Also, no Fringe tonight, dammit, but looking forward to the debate.
