According to On Location Vacations, Fringe is filming today near Greenpoint Ave. and West St. in Greenpoint.
Also according to On Location Vacations, the Untitled Nancy Meyers Project, starring Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, John Krasinski, and Alec Baldwin, is filming again today in the vicinity of Russell Street and Greenpoint Avenue in Greenpoint.
And last, we received a tip from FIB reader Chris that The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is filming tonight in the vicinity of Eighth Avenue and 7th Street in Park Slope. However, On Location Vacations has Apprentice filming today in New Jersey, so I’m trying to confirm if the Park Slope location is for tonight, or possibly for tomorrow. UPDATE: It should be filming at this location on Wednesday.
Whichever day the filming ends up being, this sounds like an interesting project. It’s a live-action version of the dancing broomstick segment from Fantasia, starring Nicolas Cage as the apprentice. According to aceshowbiz.com, the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced film is set to be released on July 16th, 2010.

Wish i could be over in Greenpoint, seem’s like alot of filming there today

Yeah, they get a lot of action – lots of dead-end streets near the water where they can shoot unbothered by the masses and traffic.
