Filming In Brooklyn

UPDATE FIB reader Doug has pointed out that once you cross the Marine Parkway Bridge you are actually in Queens. So close! So let’s just call this a field trip…

FIB reader Preston sent in a great picture of Mildred Pierce setting up for a location shoot at Fort Tilden, which is part of Riis Park Beach at Gateway National Park.  This remake of the 1945 movie stars Kate Winslet in Joan Crawford‘s title roll and Evan Rachel Wood as her spoiled daughter.

So far they’ve set up an old-timey gas station, complete with a pump and old tires.
