Cookies On Clinton And Another Reality Show

I’m back! Looks like not too much happened filming-wise while I was gone.

McBrooklyn has some pictures of a shoot for a cookie company that took place in Cobble Hill last Wednesday.

And there was some misdirected rage at The Real World chronicled on NYShitty (according to the comments, the filming was actually for 50 Cent’s reality show).

What’s Filming Thursday?

Damages is filming today in Fort Greene Park. Hmmm. The kids are always bugging me to go to Fort Greene Park, looks like I’ll finally be saying yes!

UPDATE: We got to the park around four, and made a loop around the entire park, but didn’t see any signs of filming. Then we ran into a Park employee who told us that they were wrapped up and gone before 1pm.

Rescue Me will be shooting inside a gym on Front Street near Main, in Dumbo.

Lipstick Jungle will be filming in the evening on Engert Avenue near Humboldt, in Greenpoint. This looks to be an interesting shoot: rumor has it there will be trick-or-treating kids!

Something called D-Con will be filming inside 470 Flushing Ave in…Clinton Hill? Not sure exactly where the border is. We have to assume that it’s a commercial for the mouse poison, and not some new rapper.

And last, Metaphor-Free Radio (?) will be filming in Canarsie Cemetary.

Commercials Abound

If you like to watch MTV while drinking your Bud Light with Lime, which you bought on your Citi credit card, then last week’s commercial shoots had you covered.

First up was a commercial for Bud Light with Lime, being shot in Clinton Hill, on Waverly between Willoughby and Myrtle. The commercial is set in the fall, so the block had to be dressed up a bit.

A big fan and several bags of leaves provided a windy-fall-day look.

The next shoot was in a restaurant at the corner of Berry and N. 9th in Williamsburg. It was for a new Citi credit card being released with MTV. The commercial is called “She’s The One.”

Bud Light With Lime Filming Commercial in Clinton Hill

If you’re on Waverly between Myrtle and Willoughby this afternoon, and you see the same people getting off of the same bus over and over, you’re not hallucinating. It’s a commercial being filmed for Bud Light with Lime. They’ll also be filming this afternoon in Fort Greene on DeKalb near Carlton, possibly in a bodega.

Somebody Found Bill Gates!

Or at least his representatives. I’m glad somebody found the Microsoft commercial that was filming in Carroll Gardens last week! Pardon Me For Asking has a report with lots of pictures, and tells how Partizan Entertainment will be making a donation to Carroll Park, even though they didn’t film there.

If Michel Gondry’s history as a director is any indication, this won’t be just another commercial. The director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (which was filmed partly in Brooklyn) and Dave Chappelle’s Block Party (which was filmed in Brooklyn, in front of Broken Angel in Clinton Hill, not Bed-Stuy) also directed a commercial for Levi’s Jeans that manages to be beautiful, touching, and hilarious at the same time. It’s more a work of art that happens to have a brand name in it, rather than a commercial. You can watch it here: Levis – Drugstore.

Update: Gothamist reports that Michel Gondry has moved to a house in East Williamsburg, so hopefully there will be lots more Brooklyn filming in his future!

After reading a tip on Gowanus Lounge, Filming In Brooklyn drove the length of Carroll Street looking for signs of a commercial shoot. Not a truck in sight! In fact, we didn’t see any no parking signs either, which leads us to believe that perhaps since the tip was posted, the signs have been removed and plans have changed. But we were driving and could have just missed them. Has anyone seen anything?

Catching Up With Everything Else

With a few big productions taking up all of our time in the past few days, we haven’t had time to post about some other, smaller productions that we’ve run across.

First up is The Line, an internet series that will be running on Yahoo’s Butterfinger Comedy Network starting on July 21st. They were filming on Monday on Court Street, near Degraw. They’ll be filming in that general area through Friday.

The next two shoots we stumbled upon on Tuesday while trying to find Ugly Betty.

The first was a catalogue shoot for Kohls, near the Manhattan Bridge.

Next was a music video shoot for NYU, shooting just a couple hundred yards from Ugly Betty, in Empire Fulton Ferry State Park.

NFL’s Greg Jennings Shooting ESPN Commercial In Cobble Hill

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings filmed a commercial for ESPN today in Cobble Hill, at the corner of Court and Amity. The equipment took over the entire corner, as a restaurant was lit from all angles, inside and out.

The tablecloths got a last minute steam,

and a make-up artist got one final look at the star of the commercial.

With extras set up inside and outside of the restaurant and the scene’s other actors ready, Mr. Jennings donned a bright red jacket and filming started.

Andie MacDowell’s Looking Lovely On Eastern Parkway

Andie MacDowell brightened up the Brooklyn Museum this evening, filming a commercial for L’Oreal. Make sure you scroll to the end – there’s a video!

The shoot drew quite a crowd.

Ms. MacDowell’s dress was stunning.

Well-dressed extras were sprinkled about both inside and outside the museum.

A crew is setting up right now for a L’Oreal shoot taking place this evening next to the Brooklyn Museum on Eastern Parkway in Prospect Heights. Rumor has it that the ad stars the gorgeous Andie MacDowell. Filming In Brooklyn will try to get some pics.

Filming In Dumbo Update

Filming In Brooklyn stopped by Dumbo today to check out what was being filmed, based on tips from DumboNYC. First up, under the Manhattan bridge, was “Tag” – definitely not a movie based on the comic book, as Filming In Brooklyn had previously guessed, but instead a commercial for the body spray. Filming hadn’t started yet when FIB stopped by – they were still setting up – but it looks like the shoot will include a lot of wind, probably bouncing off of a hard body or two.

While walking to the next shoot we stumbled upon a still photo shoot for a Canadian magazine. Dumbo really does have a lot going on today! Nothing exciting to see, but a very nice crew member gave FIB some water.

Next we found Kidnapped, which was shooting interior scenes in a big building on Front Street. Kidnapped is a German TV show that will not be airing here, but still, thanks for filming in NYC!
