Something is filming today on Washington Avenue near Gates. I didn’t realize productions were allowed to just put “Film Shoot” on the no parking signs and omit the permit number.

Steve sent in a tip that something called Her Name was Sarah is filming today in the vicinity of Rugby and Beverly Roads. I couldn’t find anything about it on imdb so I’m guessing that it’s a small/student production.

I got a tip from Saer that something called Celebrity Close Call is filming overnight Thursday to Friday at a couple of locations on 62nd: The New Utrecht D train station, and a few blocks away between 11th and 12th. I couldn’t find any info on it, so I’m guessing it’s maybe a student production. Anyone know anything?

Filming in Brooklyn reader Tim just let me know that something called Can’t Lose is filming on Saturday on St. James between Gates And Greene. I can’t find any info on this project but will try to check it out.

Filming In Brooklyn reader “oilman” reports that he saw a bunch of production trucks and no parking signs around Coney Island Hospital today, but wasn’t able to stop and check it out. Anyone know what’s filming?

UPDATE: @BR00K_ tweeted @FilmingBrooklyn the info that an Al Pacino movie is filming at Coney Island Hospital. It’s gotta be You Don’t Know Jack, in which Pacino plays Dr. Jack Kevorkian. Interesting. It will be filming tomorrow in the same neighborhood as well, but over near Nostrand.

Janet sent us a couple of very cool pictures yesterday of a set being built on Prospect Park Lake, and followed up today with a more exact location and details: it’s for the new Mila Kunis/Mark Wahlberg/Steve Carrell/Tina Fey movie, Date Night. Very cool, love all of them. Thanks again, Janet!

Mystery set on Prospect Park Lake

UPDATE: Location on map is now correct.

Janet sent in a couple of very cool pictures of a set being built today next to the lake in Prospect Park, in the Lullwater area (that skinny northern part of the lake), complete with a false building front on a pier, and new trees being brought in for planting. Anyone know what’s going on?

Hoyt-Schermerhorn doubles as another station once again

Filming in Brooklyn reader Thomas snapped this pic as his train was rolling through Hoyt-Schermerhorn station. It’s a little hard to see, but against the back wall they’ve replaced some signs in the unused portion of the station to make it look like 51st Street Station. Does anyone have any idea what’s shooting there?

The very first entry for this blog, almost a year ago, was also about Hoyt-Schermerhorn standing in for another station. That time it was dressed up as 42nd street, for The Making of Pelham 123.

Something called Biscotti is filming on Wednesday in the vicinity of Clinton and Congress Streets in Boerum Hill.

On Location Vacations has the scoop on the rest of tomorrow’s locations, including Life on Mars in Williamsburg and Lipstick Jungle in Greenpoint, as well as three locations for Entourage.

What’s Filming Thursday?

Damages is filming today in Fort Greene Park. Hmmm. The kids are always bugging me to go to Fort Greene Park, looks like I’ll finally be saying yes!

UPDATE: We got to the park around four, and made a loop around the entire park, but didn’t see any signs of filming. Then we ran into a Park employee who told us that they were wrapped up and gone before 1pm.

Rescue Me will be shooting inside a gym on Front Street near Main, in Dumbo.

Lipstick Jungle will be filming in the evening on Engert Avenue near Humboldt, in Greenpoint. This looks to be an interesting shoot: rumor has it there will be trick-or-treating kids!

Something called D-Con will be filming inside 470 Flushing Ave in…Clinton Hill? Not sure exactly where the border is. We have to assume that it’s a commercial for the mouse poison, and not some new rapper.

And last, Metaphor-Free Radio (?) will be filming in Canarsie Cemetary.

Language and Learning In Dumbo

Something called Language and Learning has been filming in Dumbo yesterday and today. Today they’re on Jay between Front and Water. Is anyone near there? Get any pics?

BTW, in case is hasn’t been painfully obvious by the lack of posts and original pictures, August is a difficult month for me. The kids are out of summer camp and we go on several grandparent visits and other vacations. But things will get back to normal in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, please keep those tips and pics coming in!
