There’s an interview with Brooklyn’s Finest screenwriter Michael C. Martin on NYTimes.com. I got the chance to meet Mr. Martin when I spent a day on the set of the Antoine Fuqua-directed movie back in July. He was thoroughly charming, humble, and appreciative of all of the good things that were coming his way.
In the NYTimes article, Mr. Martin tells how his family still doesn’t quite believe what is happening to him. “My mother still thinks that being a paralegal is the greatest job possible. Even when I told my mother they’re going to greenlight the movie, that they’re going to start shooting it, she was like: ‘You know what? I got these brochures about being a paralegal. You should check it out.’”
